Mama Shelter Toulouse

What a gem of a hotel! It's located right in the center of Toulouse, at walking distance of all the main attractions like the Capitole, the shopping streets, marché Victor Hugo, Saint Georges, Jeanne d'Arc, etc. There are many public transport options nearby and a Velib station right in front. From our arrival the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and made us feel at home right away. The hotel itself is very trendy (like all other Mama Shelters), with a restaurant downstairs and rooftop bar upstairs (we did not try these but by the amount of people that were there in the evenings I guess it's a popular option). The rooms themselves are spacious, clean, trendy and very comfortable, one of the best beds I've slept in at a hotel!! The bathroom is also large and very clean, with nice toiletries (special mention for the hard shampoo/soap bar). We also found the curtains really blacked out the room which is not the case everywhere. All in all we had a great stay and found it true value for money based on all the above :)

Mama Shelter in Toulouse might have the best staff in all of France! Everyone from reception to housekeeping was sincerely friendly and had a level of hustle that is rare anywhere. The rooms were remarkably clean and we’d be thrilled to stay here again when visiting the vibrant city of Toulouse!

Stylish and comfortable hotel with a quirky style. It's got a slightly fetishy vibe, with free porn films and animal masks and red lighting in the room, so perhaps not one to come to with your mum, but it's not an overwhelming vibe, so don't be put off if that's not what you're after! The rooms are a good size, the beds are comfy, and the bathrooms are big and well designed. I liked the all-in-one face wash/soap/shampoo that was provided in the form of a solid bar, for eco reasons, even though I was initially wary of it - it smelled great and actually left my hair better than usual! Breakfast was excellent, with a hot buffet, cheeses and ham, cereals, yogurts, juices, and a good array of pastries and pancakes with delicious jams. The ground floor bar was buzzy, with a live DJ (the rooftop one was yet to reopen after a face lift). The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was very convenient. The luggage storage was easy and secure, with tickets provided.

We had a great time at Mama Shelter Toulouse! the staff are friendly and very helpful. Having the AC in this July heatwave was a godsend! Our room was clean and the cleaning staff really took care of our belongings too. Rooftop bar is a little pricey but we’ll worth at least having a drink or two there. we enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve booked Mama Shelter again for the next leg of our journey in Lyon. A great, well located hotel about halfway between the train station and capitol square. The beds and pillows were to die for they were so comfortable. The shower was also spacious with a rain jet and movable shower head.
